• Planning and Development Directorate

As part of the Planning and Development Services Directorate, Planning Directorate's function is to assist PDA, the development community and the public in matters relating to land use planning. In providing such assistance, our primary goal is to manage growth in Peshawar and to ensure a high quality of development having regard for the health, safety and welfare of the existing community. The Directorate is responsible for maintaining and updating Peshawar's Official Plan and Zoning By-law as well as the processing and administration of various planning applications in a timely and efficient manner. The Planning Directorate also responds to general inquiries related to land use planning matters and prepares statistical information such as population counts and projections as well as inventories with respect to residential, commercial and industrial land.
